Some of you may not have known that sequins had waste, huh?
Seriously though, apparently sequins (at least some of them) can be bought in ribbon form. You just punch out the sequins and you’ve got this ribbon full of evenly spaced holes left in the plastic. You can see some sequin waste, also known as punchinella, if you’ll click that link.
And you can take a peek at some examples of arts and crafts created using punchinella — either in the craft itself, or as a template for an art project.
I really need to get my hands on some of this stuff. Anyone know where to buy it? Can I find it at Michael’s or Hobby Lobby? Or am I going to have to be patient and order online?
Nothing like finding the answer to your question in Google Reader. Diane at the Altered Book Studio mentioned Aileen from Outside The Margins today. So, of course, I had to go see this new-to-me site. As it turns out, Aileen sells stuff on her site — including sequin waste. And bottle caps. And color mists. Yeah, I ordered a few of those things…
Just received my order notification. Will update you when the stuff arrives.
