Funny Faces Foil Photos

In preparing to write the fudge foray post, I asked CW to stand in a well-lit area of the kitchen, look at the camera and give me a sweet, wholesome  smile.

This is what I got:

Trying To Get A Serious Shot IV

And this:

Trying To Get A Serious Shot II

Perhaps that was better? How about this:

Trying To Get A Serious Shot III

That was a sweet laugh. Can we have something a bit more serious though?

Trying To Get A Serious Shot V

Maybe serious is not the word. Perhaps a touch of goofy?

Trying To Get A Serious Shot VII

OK, that’s not quite what I’m going for. Perhaps if you close your eyes and open them when I say “When”…

Trying To Get A Serious Shot I

Maybe not.

Trying To Get A Serious Shot VI

I think I’ll just pick one…LOL!

Welcome To The New Member Of Our Family

If you’re following me on Facebook, you know that we adopted the former neighbor’s dog, after the neighbor moved and left her. Well, this is Lith, affectionately referred to as “Lifter,” since she bounces around like a lifter in an engine. (Yes, we have auto mechanics at this house.)

We’ve known Lith since we moved her more than a year ago. As a matter of fact, I think she’s the first one who greeted us when we arrived to view the house. And I think she’s even in one of the pictures we took of the property while we were in our search phase.

Anyway, she belonged to the people who lived in the house next door. Those people were related to the people who live one more house down. So Lith has been a 3-house dog for this past year.

Two days ago, I noticed Lith had a bad cough.

Now, DH had talked to the existing neighbor a few days ago and he’d jokingly said that we could have Lith if we wanted her. So, we decided, since she was coughing, needed care, and we could provide for her, we’d go ahead and take her in.

I took her to the vet yesterday and fortunately, she only has a cold. Yea!!!

I’m giving her meds every day and she’s already sounding better.

And she gets along great with our other dogs. We’re still working on her relationship with the cat…
