So, I’ve been following the art of Paulette Insall for a year or two now. I’m patiently waiting for her background or face painting classes to open up so I can take one, or both.

Anyway, last week, she posted about doing some sketching in bed. I keep a notepad by my side of the bed, so I thought I’d try my hand at it. Here’s my first attempt. I think I’m OK with it, but need to work on the shading:

One thing I think I need to do, before I start creating artwork that I actually give to other people, is develop a style of my own. I’d like to find a different way to do the nose and maybe the lips.
